⚙️ Template Administrators

Centralised repository of all knowledge

We've created a new role - Template Administrator - empowering you to create and manage legal knowledge in one centralised repository by:

📢 Publishing and unpublishing templates

📈 Tracking usage of templates

🐾 Tracking when templates were last updated

📂 Categorising templates into practice areas or industry

🏷️ Tagging templates, so you can classify and organise templates efficiently

If you want to be a Template Administrator⚙️, contact your Legatics Administrator who can assign you this role

Capture knowledge from previous deals

Struggling to capture knowledge from deals?

🪄 With our template system, you can create templates from:

  1. existing lists in matters (provided you are the matter administrator)

  2. existing template lists (either the Legatics default template or your own)

  3. from scratch

Custom branding for templates

We understand that you brand is important. And we understand that you want to encourage lawyers to use your templates.

That's why:

  • your templates are the default option (above the "out of the box" Legatics templates)

  • your templates are separate from the "out of the box" Legatics templates

  • your organisation's name and favicon is displayed on each template (where you see the "scale of justice")

If you want to add branding to your templates, contact your Legatics relationship manager and provide your organisation's favicon.

Importing your Word knowledge

Do you have lots of process templates stored in static Word file (like how to incorporate a company, or change the name of a company)? If so, then you can quickly turn those Word templates into Legatics templates that you can deliver directly to your lawyers!

To do this, simply create an empty template and use our "Word table importer" to quickly transform your static Word precedent into our dynamic lists!

The best thing about our lists is that they can store files! So, if your process template requires template documents (eg your precedent "director resignation" document), you can simply upload the file into your template. And that means your lawyers have access to everything in one place!

Create lists from your law firm's templates

Under pressure to quickly set up a deal? Find it time consuming to find and re-create your firm's precedent - looking through document manage systems, the intranet, collaboration tools, emails, and so on?

This problems are a thing of the past. Now, in addition to "starting from an existing list" or using one of Legatics' templates, you can now access your organisation's templates on Legatics.

💡Templates are created by your template admin, and include everything you need such as:

  • column structure

  • rows and content

  • files (if any)

  • high level permissions

  • configuration for checkbox columns

Quickly search for and filter templates

🔎 You can now quickly search your firm's templates on Legatics. You can also filter by tags or browse by category.

iManage improvements

Uploading and exporting large files or folders of files

💪 Managing a huge list with folders of documents and need to export to iManage?

This is now possible without any timeouts, thanks to some really significant technical improvement we implemented, called "subscriptions"!

We have implemented a series of detailed error messages to help you troubleshoot without any further assistance.
