Connecting Legatics to Harvey lets your team use Legatics directly within Harvey. The setup is done by a System admin on both platforms and takes a few minutes, as long as you have the right credentials to hand.
Which authentication type should I use?
By default, the connection authenticates with a client ID and a client secret. You can copy both from the Legatics Admin system.
Step 1: create a connected app for Harvey in Legatics
Harvey needs its own connected app in Legatics before you can add the connector.
In the Legatics Admin system, go to Setup → Integrations and open the Connected apps tab.
Select Create connected app.
Under Application type, select Confidential client (this is the default for Harvey).
Enter a Name, for example Harvey, and an optional Description, for example Harvey Connector Library.
Under Redirect URLs, add Harvey's redirect URLs. Use + Add URL to add each one (if there are multiple). You'll find them in Harvey's Connector Library Legatics dialog (see Step 4): one for the web app, one for the Word add-in and one for the Outlook add-in. For example, the EU web app URL is
https://eu.app.harvey.ai/mcp/oauth/callback.Under Select at least one connection type, tick Legatics MCP.
Under Allowed scopes, tick Read only. Harvey can't read any data until at least one scope is selected.
Select Save.
The connected app now shows the Client ID and Client secret. Copy both: you'll enter them in Harvey in Step 4.
NOTE: After you leave the page, the secret is partly hidden; if you lose it, select Regenerate secret and update Harvey with the new one.
Step 2: open the Command Center
In Harvey, go to the Command Center.
2. Then go to Configurations where you'll find connectors listed
Step 3: find the Legatics connector
Under Configuration, select Connectors, then search for Legatics. From here you can review the connector's details, including what it does, setup requirements, support contacts, and privacy and developer policies.
Step 4: add the connector and enter your credentials
Select Add.
In the Connect Legatics dialog, check that the Region matches your Legatics region, for example Europe (eu1). Then enter the Client ID and Client secret from Step 1 and select Continue.
Note: this dialog also lists the redirect URLs (web app, Word add-in and Outlook add-in) that you add to the connected app in the Legatics Admin system in Step 1.
Step 5: confirm scopes and permissions
After continuing, you may be asked to confirm the scope of the connection.
Step 6: set access and tool controls
Once the connector is added, you can control:
Who can use it: choose which roles and users have access to the Legatics connector.
How each action runs: tool-level settings let you decide which actions run automatically, which need user approval, and which are blocked.
We've added a Solution Brief shareable with a variety of stakeholders who are interested in the connection.
