This feature allows users organizing and export large volumes of documents into a single, cohesive set. It helps users to compile and manage final versions of documents at the end of their transaction.

Why This Feature Is Useful:

  • Streamlined Organization: Easily compile numerous documents into a well-organized binder or closing set.

  • Efficiency: Saves time by automating the compilation and export process.

  • Accuracy: Reduces the risk of errors during manual document handling.

How do I create a binder?

  1. Click on '+ Create binder' on the top right-hand side of the list you want to turn into a binder.

2. Name the binder and select the list columns you want to include in the binder index. Click on the 'x' to remove a list column from the index.

3. Click on 'Permission' to give or restrict the ability for participants to view, edit or delete your binder.

β€‹πŸ”” Have a look at this article on List permissions for further information on restricting access permissions.

4. Click on 'Create Binder'.

5. A notification will appear once the binder is generated and ready to view. The binder is accessible at any point via the "Dashboard" screen or via the top navigation, alongside all other lists on your matter.

How do I download my binder?

You can download the binder to your device as a .zip file.

Please note: Your zip file will include all the files that are visible to you in the list. If you are sharing it with others, please ensure you are not sharing any confidential documents or information.

  1. Click on the .zip icon at the top right-hand side of your binder list. A drop-down will appear with the option to download all, filtered or selected rows.

  2. Once you have selected your preference, you will be given the option to include a binder index and use either the file name or title column text as the file title.

Selecting to use the rename files means that the files on the .zip download will be renamed to the text in the free text column selected as the title column.

  3. The .zip file will then download onto your device.
