How to add and remove signatories for parties

Once you have added parties to a document, you can add "signatories" to each party. "Signatories" are the people who will be signing the document on behalf of the party.

⚠️ Please note: You cannot change signatories once the document has been sent to DocuSign.

How to add signatories

1. Go to your document in the signing view, then hover over the signatories column and click 'Edit signatories'.

2. This will bring up a window where you can see all signatories you have added to your matter.

Please note: If you have added a person as a party, you will be able to add them as a signatory

3. To create a new signatory, click '+ Add new signatory'. You need to provide their full name. You can also choose to add their email address - or add this later.

Please note: This will not add the person as a user to your matter



Once you have added your signatories, click 'Save'.

To remove a signatory click on 'edit signatories' and click on the 'x' beside the signatory's name and press 'save' to make the changes live.



How to remove signatories

  1. Hover over the signatories to a party and click on 'Edit signatory'. Click on the 'x' beside the signatory's name and press 'Save' to make the change.


How to rename a signatory and their email

  1. Hover over the signatory and press the 'Rename signatory or update email' button.


  2. This will open a window where you can change the name and email. Once you have made your changes, press 'Save'.
