Reusing existing binders in Legatics allows you to leverage previous work, ensuring consistency and saving time. This feature enables you to duplicate binders, preserving their structure and content.
Prerequisites: You are Matter Admin on the matter
Good to know: This feature is great for creating tailored binders for different participants. Start with a "master" binder, duplicate it, then remove any sections or documents not needed. You can then restrict access so only specific participants can view it.
Starting duplication
Open the binder you want to duplicate
Click the More button at the top right of the binder
In the drop-down that appears, press Duplicate
In the pop-up that appears, update your binder name
Click Duplicate to create your binder
Good to know: We duplicate everything in your binder, except for:
generated binder files; and
permissions
When the binder is duplicated, only you and any Matter Admins will be able to see the binder
Copying of files
Once your binder has been creating, files will start copying to it. You'll see the copying progress in the binder (it looks like the files are uploading).
Note: Until copying is complete, you won't be able to generate your binder.
