What does assigning statuses do?

Assigning statuses to participants means that they will be notified to take action. Doing so can help matter administrators to keep track of how the matter is progressing, and which participants need to complete certain tasks.

How to assign statuses

  1. Ensure that you have added a status column to your list.

  2. Click on the status field of a row and click into the 'Action required by' box.

  3. This will bring up a drop-down menu of the participants in your matter. You can now select which participants will be assigned to the status.

  4. Assigned participants will show in your list and will be notified by email, if emails for the matter have been enabled and where individual users have notifications switched on.

    5. Statuses can be assigned to roles, organisations or individual users added to a matter.
