Legatics stores the history of every version of a document. This article explains how to find the version history of a document!


How do I view the version history of a file?

Watch the video or follow the step-by-step instructions below to learn how.

  1. Click on the "three dots" beside the file then select "Version history".

  2. The file history will appear on the panel at the right side of the page. Click on 'more version(s)' to view all file versions.

  3. All versions of the file are then listed in order - with 'v1' being the first uploaded version of the file.

Several additional features can be accessed on the pop-up. These include:

a. The option to change the permissions for the file. This allows you to edit the participants that can view a particular file version.

b. The option to mark the file for signing.

c. Clicking on the " three dots" will allow you to:

  1. Rename the version

  2. Apply permissions

  3. Mark for signing

  4. Delete the version

  5. Delete all versions

f. Upload a new version from your computer, iManage or NetDocuments*

g. Save a version to your computer or iManage or NetDocuments*

โš ๏ธ * To upload versions and save versions from iManage or NetDocuments, you must have the iManage/NetDocuments integration set up and enabled on Legatics.
