Our DocuSign integration lets you send documents from Legatics to DocuSign, track signing status, download signed documents and access certificates of completion - all from one convenient place.

What makes the integration special

πŸ€• Working with DocuSign envelopes can be painful. You've got to:

  • manually add all your final versions into an envelope

  • go to your Word signing checklist to remember who needs to sign each document

  • manually add recipients name and email

  • find your template DocuSign wording, and add that to the envelope

This is work that's inefficient, prone to errors, and just waiting to be written off.

πŸ˜€ With Legatics, you can prepare for signing in advance. This means, when you're ready to sign, all the final documents, recipients and template email gets pushed into your envelope at the click of a button. The mundane work of managing an envelope is now a thing of the past!

πŸ“ͺ Send documents to one envelope

To keep things simple, you can send your documents to one DocuSign envelope in the click of a button

πŸ“¬ Send documents in separate envelopes

If lots of documents are in one envelope, then any delay by a recipient can hold up all the documents in an envelope.

With this feature, you can make sure that each document has it's own envelope, so you can minimise this risk.

πŸ’½ Send party and signatory data to envelope

When sending documents to DocuSign, we will push the name of the parties and signatories (including emails) to your DocuSign envelope.

So, when you open your envelope, all the recipients are ready to go. Magic!

βœ‰οΈ Template email

If your System Admin has enabled it, your envelope will also come pre-populated with your organisations default signing email.

Say goodbye to hunting in the knowledge management system for this!

🚦See signing status in Legatics

DocuSign only shows you the progress of the envelope. To see recipient progress, you need to click into the envelope. But all you then see is recipient progress. It's really hard to know who has signed a document!

With our approach, you'll be able to see (in a glance) if a signatory and party has signed a document. All from our convenient signing view.

  • Envelope

  • Party

  • Signatory

If you really need to see the envelope a document belongs to, you can do this in a click of a button!

Once the envelope is completed, you can quickly bring them back to Legatics so more people can see them!

When you download an envelope, the certificate of completion is available against every document, so you can quickly prove signing

⏲️ Envelope History

When you download an envelope, the envelope history is available against every document, so you can quickly interrogate the audit history for the document

Limitations

Limitation

Explanation

Synchronising recipients with DocuSign

Legatics allows you to push party names and signatory names + emails to Legatics.

However, once this data is pushed to a DocuSign envelope we do not currently "sync" any changes made to the envelope back to Legatics (eg if a signatory is deleted or added)

Specifying and tracking non-signatory recipients in Legatics

DocuSign allows you to specify different "recipients" to an envelope (eg who is signing the envelope, or who is witnessing documents).

Legatics currently allows you to set recipients as "Need to sign" and track their signing status.

This means that any other recipient types need to be added directly in DocuSign and cannot be tracked in Legatics (their status can be tracked in DocuSign).
