Keep related rows together

Sections serve as containers that group related or other sections - creating a hierarchical structure that helps to organise your list.

⚠️ Keep in mind the following:

  • Rows can be at the same level as sections. For example, a row could be at level 1 and a section at level 1. That row won't be nested inside the section.

  • Rows don't automatically nest into sections. When you create sub-sections in the middle of rows, the rows between them aren't nested into the sub-section. They'll keep their original nesting level.

⭐ To see your section / row hierarchy, the best way is to:

  • Collapse and expand sections. It will show if a row or section is contained in a higher-level section

  • Use the table of contents. It will show you if a section is nested in another section.

Adding sections

  1. Hover over at the beginning of your rows/sections

  2. Click the context menu button

  3. Select "Add section"

  4. Choose whether you want to add it above or below

Add section inside

Create a sub-section for the section you selected. When created, the sub-section appears at the bottom of the section (eg below any rows or sub-sections nested in the section).

You'll only see this action for sections (it isn't available in rows)

Section above / below

Creates a section at the same level as the section/row you created it from, and above/below that section/row.

Moving sections and changing their nesting level

  1. Hover over the section you want to move

  2. Drag and drop the section to where you need it to go

When dragging sections, you can change their nesting level. To move a section to a higher or lower level, drag it onto the section you want to nest it into. When a blue box appears around the target section, release the mouse button to update the nesting.

Deleting sections

  1. Hover over the section you want to delete

  2. Press the small context menu

  3. Press "Delete selected" in the modal that appears to complete the action

⚠️ Deleting a section will permanently delete all sections and rows nested inside it. Be careful before you take this action!
