Statuses can help track the progress of a matter and notify certain participants when they need to take action in a list.
You can manage status permissions to control which participants can view statuses, which participants can change statuses and whether any specific statuses are restricted to certain participants.
⚠️ Please note: The ability to view, change or set statuses cannot be removed from a matter administrator.
How to manage status permissions
Manage which participants can view or change statuses
Participants with view access will be able to view all statuses in a column, subject to any row restrictions.
Participants with change access will be able to change all statuses in a column, subject to any row restrictions.
Hover over the status column and click on the cog icon.
Select 'Permissions' from the dropdown menu.
Select or deselect the checkboxes under the 'View' column to permit or restrict participants from viewing statuses.
Select or deselect the checkboxes under the 'Change status' column to permit or restrict participants from changing statuses. To save the changes click on the 'Save' button.
Manage which participants can set statuses
You can control which participants can set specific statuses in your list. For example, if you would like only a certain participant to mark rows as approved, you can give this participant the ability to set to the approved status whilst restricting others.
Click on a status in your list and select 'edit statuses'.
Hover over the status you would like to manage permissions for and click on the padlock icon.
Select or deselect the checkboxes to give or restrict parties the ability to set the statuses. To save the changes click on the 'Save' button.
