Legatics' 'masquerade' mode allows you to view what your matter looks like to another organisation or user. This can be useful to confirm that your permissions have been applied correctly.

⚠️ Please note: This feature is only available to Matter Administrators. All other users will not be able to use this feature.

In this article:

How to "view as" another organisation or user

1. Click on "eye" icon in the top navigation bar of your matter, then select the organisation or user you want to masquerade as.

2. Click 'View as' to enable the feature.

A banner like the one below will notify you that you are viewing the matter as another participant.

3. You can then view the matter as that user or organisation, to ensure that any list, column, row or file permissions have been applied as necessary.

⚠️ Important: You cannot make any changes whilst in masquerade mode. This is to ensure that actions are not taken on behalf of other organisations or users.

How to stop viewing as another organisation or user

In the banner, click on the 'Return to your view of the matter' button and you will then be able to see the matter as yourself.
