The audit trail in Legatics provides a comprehensive record of all actions taken within a matter, ensuring transparency and accountability. It automatically logs activities such as document uploads, edits, and user interactions, allowing you to focus on your transaction while maintaining a detailed history of events.
Accessing the audit trail
Click on Audit trail at the right of the top navigation bar
Tip: Everyone in a matter can access the audit trail. But only the matter administrator sees all actions recorded. Other participants only see actions if they've got permissions to view that action.
Example: A user can't view a list. That user won't see any actions taken in that list.
Downloading the audit trail
Click the CSV icon at the top right corner of the audit trail page

Data recorded in the audit trail
The audit trail logs the following data about specific actions.

Date | The date the action was taken |
User email | The email of the user who took the action |
User organisation | The organisation the user who took the action belongs to |
Matter name | The name of the matter where the action happened |
Location | The location in the platform where the action happened |
List ID | The UUID of the list where the action happened (if applicable) |

"Stage" refers to a status contained in a "workflow". A "workflow" refers to a group of statuses, which can be applied to a status column.
