Our iManage integration helps you seamlessly transfer documents between iManage and Legatics - all from Legatics. In this article, you'll learn about how it can be used to accelerate your transactions and create a seamless (and secure) document management experience.

What makes the integration special

πŸ€• Working with file explorer can be painful. You've got to:

  • save versions from iManage to your computer

  • upload those versions manually to Legatics

This is work that's inefficient, somewhat insecure, prone to errors, and just waiting to be written off.

πŸ˜€ With Legatics, and our integration, you can directly transfer documents between Legatics and iManage. Saving you time and keeping information security happy.

Seamless log in experience

The Legatics iManage integration seamlessly logs you into iManage via a pop-up window.

Once you've logged into iManage, you are able to use the integration functionality (see features below) within the Legatics platform.

Upload from iManage

From Legatics, you can upload iManage documents into your Legatics list.

This can be done from a number of places, including:

Save to iManage as a new document

If a document has been uploaded to Legatics, you can save it to iManage as a new version of an existing document or as a entirely new document

You can also save your zip downloads to iManage!

iManage icon, IDs and links

If a version's been uploaded from iManage, or saved to iManage, then you'll see:

  • an iManage icon so you know the version is safely in iManage (clicking on the icon takes you to the document in iManage)

  • the document ID so you can easily reference the document in iManage

  • every link to where the document is stored in iManage

Available on matters hosted by other customers

Your iManage integration can be used even on matters that you aren't hosted (provided the other customer is in the same instance as you).

iManage in "view as" another participant

Using the "view as" another participant function in Legatics, you can confirm (assuming the participant wouldn't have permissions to access iManage) :

  • The participant can see a file has been uploaded but wouldn't be able to upload or save the file to iManage

  • The participant wouldn't be able to view the iManage icon, IDs and links
