Learn how to get certificates of completion and envelope histories in Legatics for documents signed in Docusign

Certificate of completion provides detailed information about the envelope and the signatories, including their email addresses and IP addresses. The envelope history provides an audit trail of activities related to the envelope, such as the dates it was sent, viewed, and completed, along with recipient details. This article explains how to get these audit records for documents signed in Docusign.

Prerequisites: You're a Matter Admin or have the edit signing list permission for the specific list

Note:

  • The files are PDF

  • They're stored in Legatics, and can be downloaded multiple times

  • The envelope history is generated by Legatics using Docusign data

  • The envelope history and certificate of completion are only accessible from the signing view of the list that contains the files. To add them to your list, you must upload them manually.


Downloading the certificate of completion

  1. Navigate to the list where your documents are located

  2. Go to the signing view

  3. Find the documents signed with Docusign with an signing status of signed

  4. Press Actions > View certificate of completion

The certificate of completion will, depending on your browser settings, open in a new tab or download directly


Downloading the envelope history

  1. Navigate to the list where your documents are located

  2. Go to the signing view

  3. Find the documents signed with Docusign with an signing status of signed

  4. Press Actions > View envelope history

The envelope history will, depending on your browser settings, open in a new tab or download directly
