Effective management of user permissions within the signing view is crucial for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of your documents. Legatics allows you to assign specific permissions to users, determining their ability to view or edit signing-related information.
Good to know: The signing view is part of each list. So the permissions on the signing view form part of the list permissions for each list.
Available permissions
Permission | Explanation |
View signing | Users can view documents marked for signing, their statuses, and associated parties/signatories. |
Edit signing | Users can view and perform all actions in the signing view such as sending documents for signing and updating statuses on documents.
Limitations: DocuSign functionalities are restricted to users from the organization that set up the matter. |
Caution: Parties and signatories are stored at the matter level. If you give someone the editing signing permission, they will be able to see all parties and signatories in your matter.
Interaction with permissions in a list
If a user is given the view signing or edit signing permission for a signing view in a list, they can only interact with documents they have permission to see in the list view.
Example: If a row is hidden from a user, granting them either permission will not make documents in that row visible in the signing view
