The Binders Report in Legatics provides a detailed overview of all binder modules within your environment. This guide outlines the significance of the Binders Report, its available data, and how to access and utilize it effectively.

Purpose

Adoption intelligence: Get the data you need to understand where adoption is working, and where it isn't. Use this data to create key performance indicators and dashboards in PowerBi to monitor your rollout strategy.
Feature utilisation: Evaluate what features in binders are gaining traction, then tailor training and support initiatives based on the adoption of specific functionalities.

Limitations

Binders deleted prior to April 2026 won't appear in the report (prior to this date, when a binder was deleted all data was deleted).

binder_ID	The unique ID for the binder
binder_name	The name of the binder
binder_state	State of the binder Active = not deleted and inside matter that is active Bin = inside matter that’s been binned Deleted = deleted from matter, or inside matter that has been deleted
binder_legacy	If the binder is created using the legacy binder creation method (deprecated as of April 2026)
binder_matter_ID	The unique ID for the matter that stores the binder
binder_matter_name	The name of the matter the binder is stored in
binder_matter_type	Whether the matter the stores the binder is demo or live
binder_matter_state	State of the matter that hosts the binder
binder_matter_status	Status of the matter that hosts the list
binder_files_count	Number of files in the binder
binder_files_size_mb	The total combined size of all files stored in the binder
binder_index_style	Style of binder index being used
binder_type	The type of binder selected by the user Zip Single PDF
binder_generated	If the binder has a generated binder file
binder_generated_at	Date the latest version of the binder file was generated
binder_created_at	The date/time the binder was created (UTC)
binder_created_by_name	The name of the user who created the binder
binder_created_by_email	The email of the user who created the binder
binder_deleted_at	The date/time (UTC): the binder was deleted inside the matter; or the matter containing the binder was deleted (if the binder wasn’t deleted before the matter was deleted)
binder_deleted_by_name	The name of the user who deleted: the binder; or the matter containing the binder (if the binder wasn’t deleted before the matter was deleted)
binder_deleted_by_email	The email of the user who deleted: the binder; or the matter containing the binder (if the binder wasn’t deleted before the matter was deleted)
binder_last_activity_at	The last time any user viewed the binder (UTC)
