Tip: This work is performed in the Administration System. We recommend reviewing the explainer guide for the system before you begin.

Note: This work is performed by the System Admin. We give this role to the person you designate during onboarding. They can give this permission to others.

Initial setup

You should take these actions before rolling out Legatics to your users.

When creating their account, users must specify the office they belong to. And when creating matters, users must specify the leading and supporting offices. So this data is provided accurately, you should set up all your offices.

Note: By default, your Legatics environment includes a "London" office.

Until SSO is activated, your users will log in using a username, password, and email verification code.

Without custom templates, default Word templates will be applied. Coordinate with your marketing or branding team to prepare these templates. If you need any help with these, reach out to us at support@legatics.com.

Your logo appears next to the list templates you create, and in the my matters page.

When you take these steps is up to you. Getting them done as soon as possible will help your users make the most of the platform. But they won't stop them getting going!

Setting up integrations early allows users to benefit from a unified experience across your tech stack. Don't delay, integrate away!

Deliver knowledge directly to users and help them get started quicker by setting up templates.

Tip: We recommend creating list templates first, as they can be used in your matter templates.
