The "Offices" section is where you manage your individual offices and understand how adoptions trending at each of them!
What are offices used for?
When users create matters, they provide data about the matter. Specifically, they set the:
office leading the transaction (this is mandatory); and
offices supporting on the transaction (this is optional)
This helps you understand what offices are using Legatics!
What data is in the offices page?
The table focus on providing high-level information, so you can quickly understand how adoption is trending. More detailed information about the matters each office is leading or supporting is available in the Matters Report.
Data | Explanation |
Office | The name of the office |
Location | The location of your office |
Leading matters | The number of matters where the office is set as the "Lead office" |
Supporting matters | The number of matters where the office is set as the "Supporting office" |
What actions can I take on matters?
➕ Add office
To add an office, click on Add office in the top right of the screen. This will show a pop-up where you enter the following information. After you press "Add office" your office will be added!
Let us know if a location or subdivision you need isn't available, and we can add it to the drop-down.
Name | The name of the office. This is displayed to users, so use the name they are most familiar with. |
Location | The location of your office. This is a fixed drop-down that's populated with the English short names in ISO 3166.
💁 When you select a location, we also store the Alpha-2 code of the location (eg GB for the United Kindgom). This data is available in the Matters Report. This is helpful as visualisation tools can read the Alpha-2 code and provide you with beautiful geo-spatial maps! |
Subdivision | You can set a "subdivision" for certain locations, which is based on ISO 3166-2. The "Subdivision" depends on the location you select.
We currently have subdivisions for the following locations:

✏️ Edit office
To change the name or location an office, click on the "three dot" menu for the office you want to change and press Edit. This will bring up the same pop-up as above, which will let you change the details.
🔎 Search, sort and filter
You can take the following actions on the offices table
Search by office name
Sort by office name, location, leading matters and supporting matters
Filter by location
🗑️ Delete office
If an office isn't relevant anymore, or created in error, you can delete it. To do this, click on the "three dot" menu for the office you want to delete and press Delete. This will bring up a confirmation modal to double-check that you want to delete the office. Click delete to confirm.
When you delete an office, it will be cleared from all matters where it’s assigned as the “Lead office” or “Supporting office”. There will be no other impact on those matters.
