πŸ‘‹ Welcome to Legatics! We're super excited to help transform your legal transactions. This article sets out some recommended actions to take when getting started as a System Admin

⚠️ If you have multiple instances of Legatics, you'll need to repeat any configuration steps for each instance you have.

πŸ₯‡ Initial actions

None of the below actions are needed to get going, but they're good to take as soon as possible.

Step 1: Add offices 🏒

When users create matters, they provide data about the matter. Some of this data is mandatory, including the office leading the transaction. By default, your Legatics environment starts with at a "London" office so they can still get started.

Step 2: Turn on SSO πŸ”Œ

Until you turn on SSO, your users will log in using username / password, followed by an email verification code. Other integrations can be set up later!

Step 3: Add your Word templates πŸ“„

Until you've added your templates, our default Word templates will apply. You may need your marketing/branding team's help to prepare these templates. So get started on this as soon as you can.

If you need any help with these, reach out to us at support@legatics.com.

Step 4: Upload your logo πŸ–ΌοΈ

From the accounts page, upload your favicon. This is displayed next to the list templates you create (more on that below).

⏩ Later steps

When you take these steps is up to you. Getting them done as soon as possible will help your users make the most of the platform. But they won't stop them getting going!

Integrations are a powerful way for your users to get the most out of the software. The earlier these are setup, the quicker users can benefit from a unified experience across your tech stack.

Don't delay, integrate away!

Both are a great way to deliver knowledge directly to users, and help them get started quicker.

We recommend that you set up list templates first. This is because the list templates you create can then be used in your matter templates.

For example, you might create list templates for documents list, completion checklist and warranty disclosure. Then, when you create a matter template for M&A transactions, you can add those templates to the matter templates.
