Creating a Legatics account is the first step to accessing and managing your legal matters efficiently. Whether you’ve been invited to collaborate on a matter or your organization is a Legatics customer, setting up your account is quick and straightforward.
Important: Legatics has multiple instances, which have different URLs. Matters aren't visible across instances. Make sure you're creating an account on the correct instance.
Who can create accounts
Anyone who belongs to an organisation that's a Legatics customer
Anyone invited by a Legatics customer to participate in a matter
How to create an account
Step 1: Go to Legatics
Tip: If you're invited to a matter, you can go straight to step 2
Navigate to the specific Legatics URL provided by your organization or found in your invitation email
Click on the Create account button on the login page
Enter your email address and click Continue
Step 2: Verify your email
If you created your account from Step 1, you'll have an verification email from Legatics. Click on the Create your account link within the email to proceed.
If you were invited to a matter, you'll have an invitation email from Legatics. Click on the Create your account link within the email to proceed.
Step 3: Complete account setup
We ask for the following details to complete account setup. You'll also need to confirm:

if you want Legatics to send you updates (please do!)
Detail | Explanation |
Name | Controls your name when it's displayed in the platform, including in comments you leave and files you upload. The name you'll see is taken from your email, so may be incorrect. |
Password | Your password to access Legatics.

Job title | Specify your professional title (eg Associate, Partner) to reflect what you do. This data is currently displayed anywhere in the platform |
Time zone | Set your local time zone to ensure accurate time stamps and scheduling. Note that platform notifications and dates in the date column are controlled by the time in your device. |
