If you aren't signing your documents in DocuSign, you can use Legatics to manually track the signing status of parties, signatories and documents.

This is a great alternative to a Word signing checklist. You can create a database of parties and signatories, and easily select and update their statuses with just one click. Our signing view also links to your list, so everything stays synced!

In the future, you're going to be able to create PDF signature packs from this view. Follow our progress in our roadmap.

Getting started

First, mark the files for signing to add them into our "Signing View".

Second, add "Parties" and "Signatories".

Keep in mind that

To view or edit the signing view, you need permission from the Matter administrator.

You can't change the status of documents send to DocuSign

How to manually change signing statuses

1. When files are added to the "Signing view" they are automatically given the status 'Not sent'.

2. If you have sent the document for signing, click on the drop down and change the status to 'Sent'.

If you've just sent a signature page for signing, update the status for the relevant party or signatory!

The statuses in the drop down are fixed and can't be customised

If you change the document status to "Sent", we'll automatically update every signatory to sent. You can change this later if needed.

4. When a party or signatory signs their signature page, change the status to 'Signed' by clicking on the drop down.

5. Once all 'signatories' have signed, the document status will automatically change to 'Ready to collate',

6. Offline, collate all of the signature pages into a final file.

7. Once you have the signed version of your file, change the file status to 'Signed',
